About Boost
In early 2020 we started with an idea: to power growth for millions of retail entrepreneurs in the informal economy with a retailer-first platform for commerce. Then Covid arrived, a tipping point for digitisation. In six months—and mostly remotely—Boost was operating in three of Africa’s most important economies.
To accelerate our growth, every market we enter is run by experienced entrepreneurs rather than employees. Each brings deep local expertise that strengthens the foundation of our global team. This frictionless approach enables us to listen, learn, build, and iterate on a product that can serve the similarities and differences across very diverse markets.
And we’re just getting started on our journey to build and serve the most powerful network of retailers across Africa’s trillion dollar informal economy.
